מַנְצְפַ״ךְm. pl. Mantsʾ fakh, a vox memorialis for the five letters (מ, נ, צ, פ, a. ך) which have separate forms at the end of words. Y.Meg.I, 71d מ׳ הלכהוכ׳ the double forms for the five letters are a Mosaic tradition, Ib. מהו מ׳ … מ̇ה שהתקינ̇ו לך̇ הצ̇ופ̇ים what does the vox M. intimate? What the inspired seers (prophets) have instituted for thee; Gen. R. s. 1. Ib.; Sabb.104a; Meg.2b מ׳ צופים אמרום M. intimates that the seers indited them; Num. R. s. 18; Tanḥ. Korah 12.
